Vision and Technique Through Collage

In this informative, hands-on workshop, participants will look at the work of a range of artists who use the medium of photo-collage to jumpstart their own artistic work. From Surrealist artists such as Max Ernst, to contemporary artists such as Deborah Roberts, collage has been, and remains, a highly accessible, creative medium. In the course of the class, students will exploit the potential of collage by juxtaposing unrelated source material while learning a variety of original approaches and methods.  Students will leave the class with several completed collages and inspiration to continue making more!
