UPCOMING EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS
Artist Talk with Delphine Sims and Tricia Rainwater
Join us for an exciting Artist Talk with Tricia Rainwater, in conversation with Delphine Sims, Assistant Curator of Photography at SFMOMA.
When: November 21st, 2025 from 6-8 pm
Where: SFC Gallery; Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.
This program celebrates Rainwater’s The Tellings We Keep —blending photography, sculpture, sound, archival materials, and other natural elements to reflect on place, belonging, and the intergenerational transmission of knowledge and trauma.
Guiding the conversation is Delphine Sims, whose curatorial practice and research focus on photography, race, and representations of the American West. Her thoughtful approach to visual culture and deep engagement with contemporary photographers make her an ideal moderator to delve into Rainwater’s layered and evocative practice.
Get ready to be inspired by Rainwater’s creative process and artistic journey, and gain insight through Sims’ curatorial perspective. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and be moved by their exchange.
November 2025 Members’ Critique
SF Camerawork's monthly critiques offer members the opportunity to share and receive feedback on their current projects. November’s critique will be led by Bay Area based artist MARC ALCOCK.
When: November 18, 6-8PM
Location: SF Camerawork
SF Camerawork Members' Critiques
Critiques are opportunities for SF Camerawork members to receive feedback on their work from leading artists and educators throughout the country. SF Camerawork has continued with a hybrid model for the Members' Critiques, alternating every other month between in-person and online sessions to inspire and engage with our communities in the Bay Area and globally.
Critique Format: The critiques are two hours long, usually on Tuesday evenings from from 6 - 8 pm PST. Five photographers have 15 minutes at each critique to present their work and receive feedback from the critique leader and the group. In addition to the five photographers presenting work, there are also typically 15 - 25 other members who tune in to observe, comment, and ask questions. Critiques are intended to be as collaborative as possible, and we encourage all participants to engage in the conversation!
*Presenter slots are on a first come first served basis with members able to present once per quarter/season each calendar year (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter).
If you are interested in learning more or presenting work at an upcoming Members' Critique, please email us at info@sfcamerawork.org for further details.
