CRITIQUE WORKSHOP SERIES WITH SARAH CHRISTIANSON
SF Camerawork is thrilled to partner with San Francisco based artist and educator Sarah Christianson to offer an advanced critique series in addition to our monthly members’ critiques.
ABOUT SARAH CHRISTIANSON
Sarah Christianson has exhibited nationally and internationally including a solo show, When the Landscape is Quiet Again, at SF Camerawork in 2014. Christianson’s work documents the subtleties and nuances of the Midwestern landscape through long-term projects that evoke a strong sense of place, history, and time. Her work is in major collections including Duke University, the National Museum of Photography in Copenhagen, and several institutions in the Midwest. She received her MFA in photography from the University of Minnesota in 2009, and published her first book Homeplace in 2013. She has taught photography at Academy of Art University, City College of San Francisco, RayKo Photo Center, and University of Minnesota.
This 9 session series with Sarah Christianson is a critique-based workshop with instructor-led group discussions. It is intended to provide an extension of the SF Camerawork monthly critique program and is aimed at photographers who want more in-depth discussion and development of their work. This class is perfect for any photographer interested in pushing their photography to a higher level through focused, constructive group critique and discussion.
The 9 week critique series will focus on:
- Assessing the way your work currently communicates
- Discovering and identifying your personal voice
