Camera Obscura: An Artist-Run Workshop with Brianna Tadeo

August 24, 2026

Brianna Tadeo transforms SF Camerawork into a walk-in camera obscura—an immersive, lens-based environment inspired by San Francisco’s iconic Giant Camera near Ocean Beach. Part installation, part workshop, this participatory event invites guests to step inside a camera.

Participants will have the opportunity to delve into the ephemeral nature of photography. This includes discussions about the experience of being inside a camera, as well as creating unique lumen prints by placing objects onto light-sensitive darkroom paper, to make an image from the silhouettes of objects and shadows.
