CLASS DESCRIPTION
This spring, grow your photographic practice by enrolling in SF Camerawork’s Online Advanced Critique Workshop with Sarah Christianson. For ten weeks, participants will engage in weekly critiques of their work via Zoom. This workshop provides an extension of the SF Camerawork monthly critique program and is a good fit for photographers already familiar with the critique process* who want to gain a deeper understanding of their work. Recognizing the physicality of photographs and the importance of printing one’s work, the final session will be devoted to critiquing photographic prints. It is recommended that you have access to print your photographs either at home or at a photography lab for this course. Details about the logistics of this hybrid approach will be provided to registered participants.
During this workshop, the instructor will help participants:
Develop their personal voice
Analyze images and what they communicate
Provide constructive feedback to one another
Refine technical skills (from capture to processing and printing)
Explore contemporary art issues and opportunities
*Please note that this workshop may not be suitable for beginning photographers, due to its advanced nature.
