Live auction features 100 photographic works from emerging and established artists nationwide, including Richard Misrach, Duane Michals, Chris McCaw, Herb Ritts, Kota Ezawa, and more.

San Francisco – September 23, 2015 - SF Camerawork, San Francisco’s premiere non-profit photography gallery located in the city’s central market corridor, will host its annual centerpiece fundraising effort for the organization on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 6-9 pm. A highlight of San Francisco’s photography-collector calendar, the event centers on the live auction of nearly 100 photographic works donated by well-known artists from across the country, many represented by blue chip galleries whose works are collected by national art museums such as SFMOMA, MoMA New York, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and more.

SF Camerawork has produced a 60-page color auction catalogue, available online at sfcameraworkauction.org/auction. The auction is a lively event with wine and spirits donated from premier vineyards and vendors, and catering from top Bay Area chefs.

For the first time in its 40-year history, the 2015 SF Camerawork Benefit Auction will be an evening event, increasing overall attendance, participation from gallery partners, and creating a more festive, gala atmosphere. What will not change is SF Camerawork’s commitment to a traditional live-auction format, hosted by one of the country’s premier photography auctioneers, Mr. Rick Wester, formerly of Christies and currently principal of Rick Wester Fine Art, New York.

Doors open at 5:30 PM, bidding will start at 7 pm. Tickets are $30 in advance / $40 at the door and are available for purchase at sfcamerawork.org
