Bay Area native Kimberly Austin explores themes of memory, personal history, and the passage of time through found photographs, correspondence, and ephemera. Transferring these materials to film, she creates layered collages using the historic Van Dyke printing process, known for its rich brown tones. Adam and Edna / Four Documents reflects her interest in preserving and reinterpreting fragments of the past, transforming archival materials into intimate visual narratives.
