Honoring Chris Johnson, Fund A Need & Closing Reception

On Sunday, September 26th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM PDT SF Camerawork hosted an event honoring Chris Johnson and celebrating the auction. Johnson is Professor and Chair of the Photography Program at California College of the Arts (CCA) and served a transformative role in the life of SF Camerawork as its Board President from 1983 to 1987. SF Camerawork was thrilled to pay tribute to Johnson for his years of service and for the illuminating, exemplary ways in which his life’s work epitomizes the role of the artist as educator, collaborator, and advocate.
During the closing reception, we spoke about the mission of SF Camerawork and the fund-raising engagement of our organization's various committees. We looked back at our proud accomplishments, considered our current efforts, and looked forward to future projects we have in the works. In every aspect of our undertaking, we look for new, creative ways to support the advancement of the artistic community we serve.
